Who We Are

We’re working Hollywood professionals with decades of experience in film production and post-production. Our transfers are done using professional-grade tools and practices trusted by the film and broadcast industries. ALSO, when dealing with analog video, there is often a bit of alchemy that is needed. Our vast technical experience mixed with magical and ingenious tools, tricks and methods give us an advantage to preserving important collections.

Who we are not

 We are not an impersonal company where whatever fits in the box gets done in 16-20 weeks.  We don’t buy garbage toys off of amazon that make people believe they can professionally transfer their libraries themselves - to save money. We are often approached by customers who are disappointed having used cheap services like Legacy Box, Walmart, and even Kodak. We offer bespoke attention to your collection.  We can handle the smallest of projects to full libraries of 10,000+ items.  At heart, we are archivists who are committed to the preservation of the moving image.

For decades ELEMENT CAMERA has provided the most specialized image capture systems to the Hollywood Motion Picture Industry. Whether it’s 35mm film or the bleeding edge of digital technology, the capture of the moving image has been our passion. Years ago we began to be confronted with the preservation of these images. 35mm film negative began to shift and decay, Analog and Digital Magnetic Tape would shrink, or begin to self destruct - all because of time. We began a journey to develop a plan and a system. Leveraging our industry connections and deep knowledge of image creation (Motion Picture Production) , manipulation (visual effects) modification (post production) and storage, we began to develop our strategy to preserve the moving image. We are happy to extend this service now with ELEMENT ARCHIVE.
